This trek is rated moderate. If you can walk 5–8 hours a day and bring determination, preparation and a positive mindset, you can absolutely reach Base Camp.

After the mountain, we explore Kathmandu’s UNESCO sites, temples and ancient bazaars — a deep dive into Nepal’s culture and history.

EXPEDITION ITINERARY: DAY 1 - 4

Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal! Land at Tribhuvan International Airport where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Depending on timing, explore the lively streets of Thamel or simply relax and recharge for the adventure ahead.


Day 2 – Kathmandu: Familiarisation Walk & Trek Preparation

After breakfast, meet your guiding team and head out for a short walk around Thamel. We’ll run through a final kit check, assist with packing, and hold a group briefing so everyone feels confident and ready to hit the trail.


Day 3 – Fly to Lukla (35 mins) → Trek to Monjo (2,850m)

3–5 hours • Approx. 8.8 miles

An early morning flight lands us in Lukla — gateway to the Everest region. Our first trek is a gentle introduction, following rivers and forests through Phakding where we stop for lunch. We continue on to Monjo for the night, easing into the altitude and epic mountain scenery.


Day 4 – Monjo (2,850m) → Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

6–7 hours • Approx. 7 miles

We cross a series of famous suspension bridges and pass into Sagarmatha National Park. After a river-side stretch, we take on the iconic Namche Hill — a steady climb rewarded by arrival into the vibrant Sherpa hub of Namche Bazaar: our base for the next stage of the adventure.

EXPEDITION ITINERARY: DAY 5 - 8

Day 5 – Acclimatisation Day: Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Approx. 4 hours • 2 miles

A key day for altitude. We hike up behind Namche towards Syangboche Airport, gaining around 460m before continuing to a high viewpoint at 3,900m. Enjoy incredible panoramas of Everest and surrounding giants, then return to Namche to relax and refuel.


Day 6 – Namche Bazaar (3,440m) → Tengboche (3,867m)

5–6 hours • 7.5 miles

A stunning morning traverse with views across the valley before dropping down to the river for lunch. The afternoon brings a steady climb to Tengboche — home to its iconic monastery and surrounded by some of the finest Himalayan scenery on the route.


Day 7 – Tengboche (3,867m) → Dingboche (4,358m)

5–6 hours • 7.5 miles

We descend through forest trails and small settlements before a gradual climb to Pangboche for lunch. From here, we enter the Imja Valley — a dramatic landscape overlooked by Ama Dablam — continuing steadily to the village of Dingboche for the night.



Day 8 – Acclimatisation Day: Dingboche (4,358m)

3–4 hours • Elevation gain approx. 500m

Another essential acclimatisation day. We hike to around 4,900m, rewarded with sweeping views across the valley and surrounding peaks. After reaching our high point, we return to Dingboche to rest, hydrate, and prepare for the final push deeper into the mountains.

EXPEDITION ITINERARY: DAY 5 - 8

Day 5 - Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar 3440m – 4 Hours – 2 Miles


Today is one of our acclimatization trek days. As you trek up behind Namche Bazaar, the trail is quite steep and you can feel the lack of oxygen while you ascend 460m/1,509ft to Shangbouche Airport, then cross the runway and head another 100m up to Shangbouche Hill at 3,900m. We will enjoy the stunning views and relax for 30-45 minutes before returning to Namche.
 
Day 6 – Namche 3440m - Tengbuche 3867m - 5-6 hours – 7.5 Miles


After ascending out of Namche, the first 2 hours are relaxed walking, traversing the left hand side of the valley, high above the valley floor. The trail then descends down toward the river for our lunch stop. From here it will take 2 – 3 hours to hike up the long hill to the town of Tengbouche. This is a gradual but long ascent where you can enjoy the stunning scenery.
 
Day 7 - Tengbouche 3867m – Dingbuche 4358m - 5-6 hours – 7.5 Miles


The trail starts down-hill and continues very gradually up and down hills before crossing the river and gradually head up hill towards Pangbouche for lunch (Pangbouche was one of the villages on the trail that suffered most from the recent earthquakes), which usually takes 2-3 hours. From there it is a gradual up-hill trek towards the Imja Valley looking towards Island Peak and an hour later arriving in Dingbouche.



Day 8 - Acclimatization day In Dingbouche 4358m – Gain 500m – 3-4 Hours


Today, we spend another night in Dingbouche to further the acclimatization process. From here we will aim to reach the height of 4,900m, gaining 500m for this acclimatization trek which should take approximately 3 hours. l.

EXPEDITION ITINERARY: DAY 9 - 12

Day 9 – Dingboche (4,358m) → Lobuche (4,828m)

5–6 hours • 7.5 miles

We rejoin the main Khumbu trail and follow a gradual high-level route to Dugla for lunch. From here, a steady climb over the Thukla Pass brings us to the poignant Everest Memorial. We then continue to Lobuche to rest ahead of a huge day tomorrow.


Day 10 – Lobuche → Gorakshep → Everest Base Camp → Gorakshep

7–8 hours • 6.5 miles
Elevation: 4,828m → 5,160m → 5,365m → 5,160m

A milestone moment of the expedition. We trek over glacial terrain to Gorakshep for lunch before the final push to Everest Base Camp. Celebrate reaching this iconic location with photos and time to soak it all in before trekking back to Gorakshep for the night.


Day 11 – Gorakshep → Kala Patthar → Pheriche (4,358m)

7–8 hours • 11.2 miles

An optional but highly recommended summit of Kala Patthar begins early — a challenging ascent rewarded by legendary views of Everest at sunrise. After breakfast back in Gorakshep, we start our descent through the valley to Pheriche.



Day 12 – Pheriche → Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

7–8 hours • 13.7 miles

We continue descending into thicker air, moving faster and enjoying the scenery from a fresh perspective. Back in Namche, reward yourself — hot drinks, bakeries, and a well-earned rest before the final leg to Lukla.

EXPEDITION ITINERARY: DAY 13 - 16

Day 13 – Namche Bazaar (3,440m) → Lukla (2,652m)

7–8 hours • Approx. 13 miles

A long but satisfying final day on the trail. We descend Namche Hill and follow the familiar path through the valley, stopping in Phakding before tackling one last uphill section into Lukla. Celebrate the end of your mountain journey with the team — you’ve earned it!


Day 14 – Fly to Kathmandu (1,300m)

35-minute flight

A short walk brings us to Lukla Airport where we catch the scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Tonight, we enjoy a well-deserved celebratory meal together, looking back on the adventure we’ve just conquered.


Day 15 – Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing

A day to explore Kathmandu’s rich culture and history. We visit three UNESCO World Heritage Sites:

Swoyambhunath (Monkey Temple): A sacred Buddhist site with sweeping views over the city Patan Durbar Square: Famous for intricate Newari architecture and vibrant heritage

Pashupatinath Temple: One of Hinduism’s holiest temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the evening, we enjoy an authentic Nepalese dinner with traditional music and cultural performances.


Day 16 – Departure

Airport transfers are provided around three hours before your scheduled flight. Time to head home — with memories to last a lifetime.

EXPEDITION ITINERARY: DAY 13 - 16

Day 13 – Namchhe Bazaar 3440m - Lukla(2652m – 7 - 8 hours – 13 Miles


This long day can be one of the hardest as your body is tired after the trek. You start the day going back down Namche Hill and then the long stretch back to Lukla. You will pass Phakding before starting the last uphill section into Lukla where we will sleep for one more night.
 
Day 14 - Fly back to Kathmandu - 1300m - 35 minute flight


Today your legs get a break as you only have to trek to Lukla Airport and fly back to Kathmandu, which is only about 10 minutes walking. Overnight in Kathmandu.
 
Day 15 - Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing


The Kathmandu sightseeing trip will begin in the morning. After breakfast, you will be taken towards the Buddhist pilgrimage Swoyambhunath (famous by the name of Monkey temple among tourists). This is one of the UNESCO world heritage sites. After we explore Swoyambhunath, we will drive to Patan Durbar Square. This is another UNESCO world heritage site. Here you will get a chance to explore the traditional Nepali culture & architecture. Likewise, we continue our exploration and move forward to another heritage site known as Pashupatinath Temple. This is a sacred Hindu Temple of Lord Shiva. And the Boudhanath Shrine will be covered by the evening. Today, we will go to one of Nepal's authentic restaurants & will have Nepali dinner with some traditional Nepali songs and dances. Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 16 - Departure to the Airport


Today, we will transfer you to the Airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.
