The Yorkshire 3 Peaks is one of the UK’s most iconic endurance challenges — a powerful blend of grit, scenery and pure Northern character. This 24-mile route takes you over the towering summits of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, crossing the stunning limestone landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
With rolling valleys, rugged trails, and wide-open views stretching for miles, this challenge delivers a true test of resilience while showcasing some of England’s most dramatic countryside.

ITINERARY
We begin bright and early at the National Trust car park in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, meeting at 6:30am for a 7:00am start. The day opens with the ascent of Pen-y-ghent, a strong first summit that sets the tone for the challenge ahead. Within the first hour, you’ll enjoy your initial sense of achievement before pushing on across 7.5 miles of classic Dales scenery toward Whernside, the highest of the three peaks.
From here, we continue towards our final summit, Ingleborough, approximately 5 miles away. Reaching the top marks a huge personal milestone — a moment of pride and accomplishment shared by everyone on the mountain. The final phase of the challenge is the descent back to Horton-in-Ribblesdale, completing this iconic circular route.
You’ll have 12 hours to complete all three peaks — a demanding yet incredibly rewarding day that leaves you with memories (and bragging rights) that last a lifetime.
