NATIONAL 3 PEAKS CHALLENGE
Climb the highest peaks of England, Scotland & Wales in under 24 hours. 2926m of ascent, and a walking distance of 24 miles and covering 430 miles of travelling in between.
With Chasing Summits, you will climb and descend all three mountains in the 24 hours. The clock does not stop once we set foot on the first mountain.
No need to take a day off work, we travel up to Fort William Saturday morning and commence the challenge straight away. Added benefit of this is we get to witness a spectacular sunset on Ben Nevis, sleep on route to Scafell Pike, enjoy the sunrise from the summit and then in the day light we see Snowdon in all its beautiful glory.
We travel in comfort, luxury transport, plenty of storage and seats that recline. Best opportunity to get as much rest as possible.
This is one of the most exhilarating challenges you will ever do. It will push you mentally and physically. But the sense of achievement when you go through the gate at Snowdon is overwhelming. Something that will stay with you forever.
ITINERARY
We travel up to Fort William Saturday morning leaving at 06:30 Manchester Piccadilly Train Station, collection Glasgow airport 11:00, then we will head to Morrisons Fort William to buy supplies for the next 24 hours.
Our aim is to start the challenge for 14:00.
Timings:
Ben Nevis – Tourist/Pony track – 14:00 – 19:00.
Scafell Pike – Leave Wasdale via Brown Tongue – 02:00 – 05:30.
Snowdon – Llanberis Path - 10:00 – 14:00.
These timings are adhered to, we do this challenge week in week out in under 24 hours.
After the challenge drop off either Runcorn or Manchester Piccadilly Train Station for all major travel links.
