Once checked into our mountain lodge, we head out on a relaxed 2–2.5 hour acclimatisation hike to stretch the legs and begin adjusting to the altitude.
Dinner and overnight in Imlil.
Day 2 – Imlil (1,800m) → Toubkal Refuge (3,207m)
5–6 hours trekking • Significant altitude gain
After a hearty breakfast, we begin our ascent through the Ait Mizane Valley, passing the village of Armoud — famously full of mules, goats and local Berber life.
We continue along a rocky mule track to the spiritual site of Sidi Chamarouch, stopping for a fresh, traditional lunch. From here, the trail climbs steadily as we zigzag towards Toubkal Refuge (Base Camp).
Evening meal and overnight at the refuge.
Day 3 – Base Camp (3,207m) → Summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167m) → Imlil (1,800m)
Summit: 3–4 hours up • Full descent back to Imlil
Summit day! We set off before dawn, climbing steep, rocky trails toward the highest peak in North Africa. With regular breaks for water and snacks, we aim to reach the summit for sunrise — a breathtaking reward for your hard work.
After celebrating and capturing the views, we descend back to Base Camp for food and a short rest, before continuing down the valley to Imlil.
This evening we celebrate with a traditional Moroccan Tagine — and your
Toubkal achievement medal! 🎉
