Here at Chasing Summits we are always looking for ways to improve, help and support you the client with your training, to get mountain fit.


 We want you to have the best opportunity to complete your chosen challenge, injury free and most importantly to enjoy it!


So, we now have 4 personal trainers working with us, all fully qualified offering different expertise in lots of different areas.


Upon booking you will be provided with a standard training plan as part of your booking, but we want to give you the chance to train one on one, with one of our amazing guys.


Each offer different plan’s and checks in, to support you every step of the way.

SARAH RIDGEWAY


I’m Sarah, personal trainer, online coach and nutritional ish from the Peak District. Former British Champion natural bodybuilder and current competitive strongwoman. And of course, avid hiker!


I have helped many transform their lives to become physically fitter, stronger, and healthier.


Success rate in my clients who have competed my nutrition and training plans for hiking challenges is 100%.

I welcome you to work with me to get mountain ready. Plans are tailored to you and are app based with 1-2-1 support. I’m with you every step of the way.


Specialising in: Increasing fitness levels, increasing strength, sustainable fat loss and event preparation.

I enjoy being out in the mountains and seeing others become successful in achieving their goals.


My qualifications are level 4 personal trainer & nutritionists, level 3 British weightlifting. CIMSPA registered. Qualified also in gymnastics, peri/postnatal & strength for fat loss and rehabilitation.

PAUL SMITH


With over 10 years of experience in the field, I understand how important it is to have a balance between your health, fitness your own social and emotional well-being. While juggling a full-time job myself within a hospital setting, I understand how difficult it can be to juggle your everyday challenges an ensure that health and fitness remain an important agenda in your day -to – day life.


My focus and passion for fitness is to show how accessible it is too fit even the smallest challenges into your daily life to ensure you get the results you desire, and with my own blend of training to ensure that functionality, mobility, and biomechanics are key components into your training programme, will ensure that you are achieving and most importantly discovering your full potential.


I am always excited by my client’s progress and how they see and reap the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.


My training style and passion will benefit the avid hiker as this is also my passion. I climbed Kilimanjaro with Nic in October 2023, completed the National 3 peaks back in 2018 and I will be looking at my own specific training plan soon for Everest Base Camp with Nic in 2024.

MATT SAXON


Hi, my name is Matt Saxon, I am a qualified personal trainer who has also been a social worker for over 10 years. 

 

Having worked with people to overcome challenges, progress and develop my entire life I am expertly situated to supporting you. I believe exercise should be enjoyable, personalised and for everyone. Let's unpick whatever barriers are currently stopping you achieving your goals and overcome them by working together. 

 

There is a huge body of evidence that supports the relationship between exercise and improved mental health. I have a unique outlook towards fitness. I believe that a holistic approach, focusing on emotional wellbeing alongside a structured exercise program, is key to improving overall quality of life. I will ensure you are motivated, educated and accountable to achieving your goals and keeping them for the rest of your life.

CONOR JONES


Hello my name's Conor and I'm a personal trainer from Liverpool. I have been a personal trainer for 5 years and avid gym goer and fitness lover for 15 years. 
 
During this time I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience of fitness & nutrition which has helped me massively in my job role. 
 
I have helped clients to achieve their goals we've that be weight loss, muscle gain or improving general fitness. 
 
I first started hiking 4 years with my first climb being Snowdon on a cold and icy winters morning. Since then I have completed many climbs domestically in the lakes, peaks and Snowdonia. I completed the National 3 Peaks challenge with Nic in 2020 and Mount Toubkal & Kilimanjaro in 2022. Next on the list, Everest Base Camp and Mount Olympus. 
 
Before each big hike I have designed myself a 8-10 week fitness plan to best prepare myself for the challenge ahead. These plans have been vital to my success on the hikes and challenges. 
 
I do 1-1 in gym sessions in Liverpool but if you're from elsewhere then no sweat, I offer online fitness plans tailored for each individual.  
 
With nutritional guidance, weekly check ins, & constant support and motivation, these programs are designed to make sure you are fit and ready for your upcoming challenge.
